Esa – Your New Plancha Pal
Esa is fabricated in collaboration with a woodworker and steel manufacturer in Niigata Prefecture, northwest of Tokyo. We set out to design a tool that combines the finesse of a mini offset spatula with the utility of a fish spatula.
You’ll find rounded corners, generous surface area, and a slightly oversized handle for a more comfortable grip. It's ideal for delicate pastry work like frosting a cake or smoothing batter in a tray, as well as more heavy-duty tasks like flipping pancakes or fish. Also excellent for plating purées and small vegetables.
Hand-wash only. If you'd like to preserve the patina and grain of the wood, treat regularly with walnut oil or cutting board oil.
