Gestura Flexi Dough Scraper

The bench scraper is such a cool little tool - in my opinion, it's as essential and versatile as a good spoon. Walk into a professional kitchen and you'll find one on every cook and baker's station - either in bendy plastic form or stiff chunky wood. The goal with our Flexi bench scraper is to combine the flexibility of a plastic scraper with the heft of a wooden one. The solution? Really nice spring steel. We leave a small bit of a burr on the edge of the steel to make the scraper more grippy, and round the edges of the handle for a more comfy grip. Really excited about this one!

Form
Inspired by Japanese knives, the angular oak handle is lightweight yet offers a full secure grip. The corners are rounded with a good amount of surface area and a slightly larger handle than normal for a comfier grip.

Material
Beautiful Japanese oak and a heat treated flex steel that can bend and snap back in place. It was important to us that no resins, glues, or plastics were used to fix the blade to the handle, so all you will find is two rivets and a piece of wood lightly treated with some walnut oil

Cleaning
Hand-wash only. If you'd like to preserve the patina/grain of the wood, please treat with walnut oil or cutting board oil frequently. We've committed to not using any resins to cure the wood, so drying the scraper metal side down is advised :)
